Nash Didan (the “Site”) respects the privacy of its visitors and users. This policy explains what information may be collected when using the Site, how it may be used, with whom it may be shared, and how you can contact us about privacy matters.
This policy applies to use of the Site and to information provided to us, including through the “Contact us” form. It does not replace applicable law; where there is a conflict between this policy and applicable law, the law prevails.
2. What information may be collected?
We may receive information that a user voluntarily provides, such as a name, email address, subject and message content. If a user chooses to send photographs, stories, family documents or other historical material, information contained in those materials may be retained and processed for handling the submission and operating the Site.
When browsing the Site, technical and operational information may also be collected, such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, access times and information needed to secure and operate the Site. The scope of such information depends on the Site’s settings, the user’s browser and third-party services operating on the Site.
3. Purposes of using information
- Responding to inquiries submitted through the “Contact us” form.
- Handling materials and information that users choose to share with the Site, including for preservation, documentation and presentation of the community’s heritage, according to the submission and the permission provided.
- Operating, maintaining, improving and securing the Site.
- Preventing misuse, spam and attempts to compromise the Site.
- Measuring and analyzing Site usage, where such tools are enabled.
- Complying with legal requirements and protecting the rights of the Site and its users, where necessary.
4. Contact form
The “Contact us” form requests information needed to identify and respond to an inquiry, including name and email address. Users may also provide a subject and message. The form uses Google’s reCAPTCHA security service to help prevent spam and abuse.
Information submitted through the form is used to handle the inquiry and contact the user as requested. Please do not submit information that is not necessary for the inquiry, especially sensitive information about another person without appropriate authorization.
5. Photographs, stories and family documents
The Site is a community archive, and users may choose to send photographs, stories, documents and historical information. Before submitting material, users should make reasonable efforts to ensure that they have the right to share it and that it does not contain private information about other people that is not intended for publication.
Submitting material does not by itself guarantee publication. If material is selected for publication, we may edit it for presentation, description, cataloguing and archiving. Where relevant, you may contact us to request correction or removal of personal information, subject to applicable law and the circumstances of the request.
